Born in 1946. Studied at the Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. Recipient of several awards, including a gold medal from the Mumbai Art Society, the Maharashtra State Award and the Professor Langhammer Award. Taught at the Sir J.J. School of Art for twenty two years, retiring in 1994. Has held several solo exhibitions and participated in major international art exhibitions. His works are in the collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, and in private and public collections in India and overseas.
